"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." -Ephesians 2:10

No matter the area of influence we might have – whether it’s leading a company, a ministry, our family, or our peers at work or school – followers of Christ all ask the same questions at some point in their lives.

“Who am I?”  “What is my purpose?”

And as we see our culture around us declining at an alarming rate, and long to see God’s transforming power in our families and communities, we may ask, “How can I make the invisible God visible in my circle of influence?”

At the heart of every believer is the desire to make a difference.  But we all need direction for a place to start.

Alliance Ministries is committed to come alongside you on your journey to personal transformation.  We are prepared to equip, encourage, and engage you in tangible and relevant ways so you might fulfill the purpose for which you are called. Get ready, because when this happens, all of those you influence may be transformed as well. Together, let’s make God visible through His people in every area of life.

In 2007, he founded Alliance Ministries to coach people to discover their unique Kingdom calling. In 2011, he created and co-authored The 210 Project: Discovering your Place in God’s Story, a book and online journey that helps you discover your identity and personal calling. Don’s most recent book, Your True Reflection, delves into sixty truths derived from scripture about who God says you are. Don and his wife of 39 years, Susie, live in Birmingham and have 3 grown children and 3 beautiful grandchildren.

  • To see God's people actively advancing His kingdom on earth

  • To unlock eternal impact by helping people discover their place in God's story; and to live out their calling right where God has placed them

  • We live in a time of unprecedented challenges for our culture – Rising poverty levels, broken marriages and families, addictions, dissatisfaction with the church. At a time in which our world needs a vibrant, life-giving message and ministry from God’s people, it seems the body of Christ has become dormant.

In a recent study, the Barna Group cited the following: believers are becoming more ingrown and less outreach-oriented. The Church is becoming less theologically literate (and therefore unable to relate the truth to the daily issues of our lives.) Growing numbers of people are less interested in spiritual principles and more desirous of learning pragmatic solutions for life. The influence of Christ-followers on the culture and individual lives is largely invisible.

Yet Jesus said, “You are the salt of the earth. You are the light of the world.” Salt is a preserver of life. Light is an illuminator. We are to show our communities what Jesus is really like. Apart from grace and the unconditional love and forgiveness of God there is no hope. Followers of Jesus are to communicate this grace both in words and deeds within their families, their work, their community and their church.

Imagine if you will, whole and healthy families; the body of Christ meeting community needs; decreased poverty and crime; individual lives and entire communities healed and restored; people coming to Christ as they are intrigued to see believers loving and serving one another.

By God’s grace, Alliance Ministries will help bring this vision to reality. We are redefining the mobilization of the body of Christ, reinvigorating churches, and revitalizing communities. We are equipping ordinary people for God’s extraordinary assignments.

Together, with your help, believers will have a clear biblical worldview and understand why it matters; they will recognize the call God has on their life, and discover a clear path of engagement, that will create a movement to influence the culture, and make their communities a better place. We pray you will join us for this great adventure!
